Today was the first day having students blog and thus far it has been an adventure. The usual problems and questions came up — can we write profanity? How do I…? Where is the…? My email address isn’t working… But all-in-all it has gone over without too much pain. The students were excited about writing about topics and ideas that they care about and not things dictated to them, which is to be expected. Nobody likes being told to write about things they don’t care about. So much of education is misguided and misdirected. I will write a post from each class as I start them off.
